Help Bob and Diane rebuild!

Dear community,
I am a long-time friend of Bob and Diane's, and this fundraiser is to help them rebuild their lives. They tragically lost their house and business to the Bonsall fire Thursday, Dec. 7th, 2017. As many of you know, they have been building their bowed instrument business out of their house for over a decade. A former fireman, Bob has spent years perfecting his craft at restoring, repairing, and building violins and other bowed instruments. He is a former president of the Southern California Violin Maker’s Association. He has steadily built a reputation as one of the most capable, reliable, and fair violin luthiers in Southern California and beyond.
Diane, a former nurse, has been been a beloved violin teacher to many students for a number of years now, and a passionate advocate for putting instruments in the hands of young people and music in their hearts. Bob and Di are two of the most generous and kind hearted people that I know, and I am honored to call them friends and even family. I have been on the receiving end of their generosity many many times over, and I know for a fact that I am just one of many who are so lucky. They are rare gems indeed. Now, there is an opportunity for those of us who love them to give back.
While Bob and Diane were barely able to get out of the house with their lives and just a few possessions, they lost everything else. They saved a few valuable violins and bows, but tragically their large collection of vintage and rare instruments, bows, string inventory, materials, tools, books, and everything else was destroyed. Their charming house with a lifetime of beautiful antiques, music, and memories has also been lost, along with their 3 cats.
Unfortunately, insurance will only cover a fraction of what was actually destroyed. They are living temporarily in a condominium in Carlsbad, and need to get back on their feet and on with the next chapter of their lives as soon as possible. Bob needs to rebuild his business so they can continue to support themselves and do what they love. His immediate needs are to restock on tools, materials, and other inventory to get business back up and running ASAP. Longer term, they need to recoup as much money in their home, belongings and investments as they can for their future security and well being. Funds collected will be used only towards these goals. Diane and Bob will be set up as beneficiaries from this fundraiser, and will be able to transfer funds directly from here into their personal account. Whatever you can contribute towards this is immensly appreciated. Thank you so very much for your support!
