Baby Cobb's Medical And Burial
Unfortunately last week we had received some bad news regarding our beautiful unborn baby and it has spun everything we have anticipated in a complete 360. During our 22 week ultrasound it was discovered that our child is developing with an omphalacele meaning it's internal organs are growing outside of the body and will need immediate surgery after a c section birth, along with a lengthy NICU stay. Unfortunately the omphalacele is on the larger side which makes things a lot harder and longer of a process. It's going to be a long hard road for us and our beautiful unborn child. The testing needed to determine what developmental disabilities he/she will have will need to come out of pocket along with upcoming medical costs etc to not only save his/her life but to make sure he/she can grow up to a somewhat normal life. We believe God will not give us more than we can handle but Chelsea( my fiance ) will have to stop working immediately and most likely will now be a permanent stay at home mother to take care of our child's long term medical needs at least for the first two years. It's a long road ahead and unfortunately I cannot do it myself. I myself have already been working 7 days a week with an occasional day off every month or so and will now have to find a second part time job to cover what Chelsea and I made as a team. Not to mention the costs associated with the new upcoming medical costs along with long term treatment costs and medical supplies, special car seats, crib accessories and tons of gauze, wraps medicine etc. We have not been able to afford insurance are not eligible for Medicaid and bear 50% of hospital costs ( extras that are not associated with the initial surgery) so on top of already struggling on two incomes we are loosing one with a future in mounting medical costs. We know and have faith that God will provide what we will need if we use the tools at our disposal so right now I will try anything to help our child/family. My family is my everything and I will do whatever it takes to make this happen but I can't do it alone. Any help provided would be more than appreciated and a godsent.
