HELP 4 GABRIEL

Life's been a rollercoaster of varying adversities since Gabe's initial Pectus Repair surgery Dec. 28 in which all of his ribs were broken & his sternum to allow proper space in his chest cavity for his heart to reside safely as he continues to grow. When he was released from the hospital on Sun. Jan.  3rd to return home little did we all know our  celebratory joy would be short lived as Tues. Jan. 5th with increasing pain Gabe collapsed to the floor unconscious. Upon being rushed to the ER via ambulance nobody expected the severity of further complications just on the horizon. Over the next 24-48 hours doctors would implement extreme  measures to care for Gabe & he received multiple infusions. Gabe was taken from the ER for a second surgery to remove  blood & fluid from his pericardial sac. Gabe's heart crashed when they took him to the ICU & doctors had to perform an emergency operation inside of his ICU room in which they inserted a larger chest tube to drain the blood that was flooding in his chest. During this time his BP bottomed out & life saving measures were taken which included medications & physical compressions to help keep his heart beating.  Eventually, they stabilized Gabe and yet again the family thought Gabe's problems were solved as he was transfered to a Progressive Care Room where he currently remains today. Within a couple of days Gabe was sitting upright  in a chair & had taken 5 small steps or so, but yet again the family's celebratory joy for his marked improvement would prove short lived as our sweet Gabe suffered yet more setbacks. Doctors would soon determine his liver was enlarged  which caused fluid in his belly because his heart was not able to properly pump the blood it needed to function correctly. They discovered his pericardium (heart sac) which should be 1-2mm has swollen to 18mm. Gabe's problems occured because his body reacted to the surgical mesh used that now holds him together. The news delivered for Gabe's long term prognosis is daunting as the family learned Gabe's condition is likely chronic & his heart is worsening. Doctors placed Gabe on high doses of steriods and anti inflamatories in hopeful efforts to successfully combat the repetative enlarging of his heart sac, but it's too soon knowing if these medications will remedy the issues plaguing him or not. They say Gabe's heart is growing weaker and that his future  recovery will now take months if not years.

The family is very encouraged and thankful for the surmounting victories Gabe's achieving every day! Gradually, we all hold faith Gabe will reclaim his normalcy of life in God's given time, but the family now find themselves in great need of your love & support more than ever before to help close the gap of Gabe's care & meet his upcoming long term needs as the months & years unfold.  Also, as a result of their life's circumstances Gabe's mom(Tiffany McMinn) & her husband have had to take weeks of unpaid time off from work to be by Gabe's side. As a result, they now  soon face possible eviction from their apartment if their rent is not paid by Monday(Jan. 11th). All of Tiffany's time, energy, love, & efforts are revolving around remaining by  Gabe's side & tending to his many needs. This leaves the family vulnerable to eminent eviction.

This current adversity life has dealt is resulting in ever expanding financial debt compounding upon itself daily. So, it is with a humble heart the family asks for your consideration to help Gabe & his mother Tiffany McMinn! Gabe's mother, Tiffany McMinn; is the sole beneficiary of this GoFundMe page & all monetrary relief go directly into her account for their specified needs. Please know that no gift is too small & if you cannot offer monetary support at this time you can still help Gabe by taking a moment to pray for him & SHARE Gabe's GoFundMe page to help spread the good word & generate awareness! He's such a sweet spirited young man deserving of a bright future! Let's all band together in an united efforting of love to be a champion for Gabriel!

Your kindness & consideration leaves us with heartfelt gratitude! Thank you so very much for your time, prayers, & gifting of love!
