Hi all compassionate pet lover’s,
This is Zoe and I am Dot, a senior citizen (81) living on less than $1,000 a month income.
Zoe is my constant companion and part of my family. Zoe is the sweetest and most loving pet, she is everything to me!!
Zoe is nine years YOUNG and is going blind from cataracts.
I took Zoe to see Dr. Meredith Mouney at Metairie Veterinary Ophthalmology Specialists near New Orleans, La. and she tells me Zoe is blind in her right eye and will go blind in her left eye if she doesn’t have surgery. The cost of surgery, care and medicines for six weeks after will cost $4,000.
I am so sad that there is no way that I could pay that!! My family can help, but they can’t pay the whole amount. I have been praying for an answer, and this idea came to me, because I know that there is so many compassionate people who love their pets and would understand how sad it would be to watch a loved one go blind.
Zoe is in good health other wise and has many good years left to live. I am asking for your help in what ever way you can give. Many people giving $10-$20 would add up enough to get Zoe surgery. Just sharing this would help so very much!
I will keep posting how things are going with Zoe’s eye care. I have to put drops in Zoe’s eyes everyday to slow down further damage, but they will not prevent her from going blind. It just breaks my heart to think money could prevent Zoe from getting the care she needs and I pray you will help.
If more money is raised than what is needed, I will donate the remainder to another senior citizen who cannot afford eye surgery for their pet. I know I am not the only pet owner who is facing this.
