Help WPC, Save Rock and Roll!

Donation protected
Sasha and Chris are rock and roll road warriors, having chosen the fun, but not always easy path of the musician. Their band, When Particles Collide , are amazing and play extremely original, thoughtful, aggressive, melodic rock and roll. For a band with two instruments, they make an amazing, incredible and important noise. They've spent more than a year more or less permanent tour of the United States and, earlier this week, they had some serious issues with their tour van, the beloved Vandalf The White . They need our help! Please consider giving whatever you can to help defray the cost of the repairs to Vandalf and get these two awesome humans AND AMAZING BAND back on the road, where they should be.

Here are the grisly details about Vandalf's plight from Sasha: On Friday April 12 Sasha and Chris were on their way to a gig in Pittsburgh when their van, (Vandalf) started overheating. They pulled over and got a two to a Dodge dealership from AAA. In order to tow the vehicle, however, the tow truck operator insisted they empty the van. So Sasha and Chris rented a UHaul, unloaded the van, drove with the tow truck to the dealership, and since it was after hours, they dropped off the key to the van in the overnight key drop. In the morning the dealership called to say they would not service their vehicle. Realizing that the van was not going to get fixed on Friday, they rented a small sedan, returned the UHaul and went to the dealership to once again call AAA for a tow. This time, as the van was being loaded onto the flatbed tow truck the tow line and the safety line snapped and the van rolled down a hill, colliding with a parked truck. Police were called, insurance companies were called, body shops were called, and finally Sasha and Chris got another tow truck to take the van to a body shop this time. They cancelled their appearance in Dayton OH that night. Offices are closed on weekends so there wasn’t much to do over the weekend so Sasha and Chris borrowed gear from friends and played their two shows on Saturday and Sunday in Kentucky and western Ohio and drove back Sunday night to Pittsburgh. Now they are stuck and waiting for insurance adjuster etc. In the meantime they’re going to rent a mini-van and book some hotel rooms and try to at least complete this next week of shows. What happens after that, and if Vandalf can even be repaired is up in the air completely. All funds will go to support the current tour dates and help fix or replace Vandalf.
