Help with the Deberry's medical bills

As many of you already know Joel Deberry is currently at Wake Forest Baptist receiving treatment for Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM). ADEM is a rare inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. ADEM is thought to be an autoimmune disorder in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own brain tissue, triggered by an environmental stimulus in genetically susceptible individuals. For Joel, this all started with a headache. The good news is this is treatable; however it will be a long road of recovery for Joel. He is completely dependent right now and after he receives a plasma exchange this week and completes another full round of steroids our hope is that he will transition to Wake Forest Baptist rehabilitation unit where he will spend close to 4 weeks working with a team of therapists to relearn all of the independent functioning skills including walking, talking, swallowing, reading, etc. Joel has been in Wake Forest Baptist's care for over two weeks already along with several emergency room visits prior to his current hospital stay. Regardless to say Joel will have an immense amount of medical bills during this long hospital/rehabilitation stay. We are reaching out to all of Joel and Brit's supporters out there as many of you have asked how to help and right now relieving the stress of bills that will start to come in would be helpful as this is going to be an expensive recovery. Any contribution will go a long way and will be so appreciated by Joel, Brittany, Joley, and Sienna. Brit has not left Joel's side during this whole process and continues to be a warrior to her husband. In addition to contributing money to their medical bills, we also ask everyone to support Moondog Pizza, Brit and Joel's business. Moondog will continue to operate and run smoothly with the help of family, amazing friends, and the stellar staff. So go eat pizza as much as possible and contribute what you can to help with the medical bills so that we can relieve as much unneeded stress to the Deberry family. We are hopeful that Joel will recover from ADEM; however the recovery process can take anywhere from 6 months to a year or longer.
