Help us Travel and Learn

Hi, my name is Mariah; my
boyfriend Marcus and I decided it was time to leave Minnesota in search of adventure! We will be leaving Minnesota on November 1st, 2017 to travel the United States. Yes I know we don’t have much time before we leave, but there has been a great deal of preparation and research for our trip: we have been researching state laws, boondocking, and the best locations to go with dogs. It won’t only be Marcus and I, we have two puppies; Oscar our German Shepard Pitbull mix, who has a heart of gold, and Chance our corgi cattle dog with the spirit of a Pitbull. The four of us plan on traveling the United States in either a small rv or a van, we are
still deciding which would be better for our travels. Both Marcus and I have family around the States that we are
extremely excited to see, for example our first destination will be Tennessee where Marcus’s mom lives! .

Marcus and I are excited that we will have the opportunity to learn about contrasting environments, we are both extremely interested in botany, mycology and wildlife which makes us both intrigued by travel within our country, and how diverse the landscape can be going from state to state. We are also enthusiastic to see the diversity in dog parks around the country, I think Oscar and Chance are excited too! I personally plan on studying sociology while on our journey, it will be fascinating meeting such an abundance of people with different ideologies. I also think it will be interesting to travel as a young inter-racial couple and prove that even though all of the odds are against us we can do absolutely anything.

It is incredibly difficult to earn large sums
of money in a short amount of time. Marcus and I are doing everything we possibly can to make the money to buy the rv/van, the gear, any improvements to the vehicle, and a small savings. We both own companies: UnlockJunky, LocalFacePainter, MemeWarz,
SocialMediaGoods, and we are creating more at this very moment. We are also selling everything we possibly can to be sure we can leave Minnesota by November 1st. I am also working on having a bake sale to increase our funds! We decided it is a good idea to use GoFundMe.com to also help us raise more money!
