A Place to Call Home

Hi, and thank you for taking an interest in our pledge.
We were hoping that we wouldn't have to ask for help but we find ourselves with no other option.
We need to raise money so we can move our rescue animals to a new premises.
We have 5 horses and ponies that we need to move to more suitable premises . We did have 6 but we unfortunately had to say goodbye to Swagger, our smallest member of our Equine family, very recently.
Swagger was the reason we started our small business; Rags to Riches Ponies.
We wanted to give something back to rescue horses and ponies as well as help educate children and families in a fun and inactive way.
We rescued Swagger in October 2013 from an awful situation, he had lice, worms, a bad cough and very bad teeth, he was also blind in his left eye and at some point had suffered a blow to the left side of his head, as he had damage to his eye and muzzle. We were told he was 8 but he was more like over 28! He was 32inches tall and buckskin in colour. Between ourselves, our vet and our equine dentist we treated his alignments. We had him gelded, microchipped and got him a passport which, every Equine should have by law.
On Christmas Eve 2013 we then got Munchkin from Animal Heaven Animal Rescue in Kerry. Munchkin came to us in a full bill of health and her and Swagger formed a strong bond. She was 1 of 80 that were in Cork pound which was featured on RTE News. Munchkin is 37inches tall and grey in colour.
We then started to teach our ponies tricks and Munchkin became 'Ireland's Only Unicorn'.
We officially started our small business in March 2015. We took Munchkin and Swagger around to various events, putting on displays with them and meeting lots of lovely families and people.

At the end of 2016 we found ourselves having to look for a new premises. We thought that we had found the perfect place, however unfortunately they couldn't get planning on accommodation for us. So we found ourselves looking again.
We've had a few knock backs in trying to find a premises, but we think we have found a place now. We just need a bit of help to move there and get set up.
Along with our Equine family we also have 6 Rescue cats and 2 Rescue dogs. They have all found their way to us by one way or the other and all have a story to tell.
We are very passionate about animals and their welfare.

With a new base and home for us and our animals we hope to continue to show people how to care for animals. As well as promoting to adopt animals from Rescue centres.
All the money which we have from doing bookings of any other work just goes on looking after our animals and caring for their needs.

We would like to move before winter sets in, as winters in Ireland can be tough.
Once we're at the new stables we'd like to invite everyone who has helped and supported us in moving to an open day so that you can meet ourselves and of course the animals.

So please could we ask for any help and support that you can give.

So that we can continue our work and dedication to make animals lives better.
