We need your help!

Abington Art Center is presenting our Second Annual Summer Music Concert Series in partnership with Philadelphia’s Lucky Goat Coffee House for 5 Thursdays, from June 28 – July 26, @ 7:00 pm.

These unique and FREE concerts are staged in our outdoor theater on our beautiful back lawn. Guests are encouraged to come early and picnic or enjoy food and beverages from one of our vendors.

Launched last year, our World Music Concert Series brought out a record number of concert goers. Our culturally diverse audience came from across the region, united by the power of music! Yet, Abington Art Center, though a lively cultural arts organization, still faces the daunting financial challenges of non-profit institutions across the Philadelphia region.

With your support we can bring musicians from around the world to AAC. Our band line up this year includes Alsarah & the Nubatones from Sudan, K1 e Ultimate from Nigeria, Lakou Mizik from Haiti, and Sidi Touré from Mali. We guarantee this lineup of performances is unlike any in the Philadelphia region!

Producing high quality arts for the community is challenging but worth the effort! From personal stories our guests shared listening to the music of their home countries, to families dancing together on the lawn as they discovered their new favorite band - memories were made!

Won’t you help us? Please give to our GoFundMe campaign as we work to bring the world to Abington!

Thank you again for your generosity! Any gift – large or small – is deeply appreciated, as we join together in supporting the arts and building community.

Our first concert is tonight!

Thanks to your generosity we are thrilled to welcome Alsarah & the Nubatones to our stage. We can't think of a better group to get the dancing going at AAC this summer. The rain is gone, the sun is out, and we hope to see you under the stars.

Alsarah & the Nubatones, Sudan
Born out of a love for the richness of pentatonic sounds, shared migration experiences, and the cultural exchanges between Sudan and Egypt, this Brooklyn-based group have expanded the conversation to include sounds from Armenia and Togo, playing music they’ve dubbed “East-African Retro-Pop.”
