Help Treat Craita’s Cancer

Donation protected
The cost of treatment for Craita's cancer is overwhelming. After already supporting our other senior dog through cancer and major surgery, the expenses have become too much to manage alone. Craita was recently diagnosed with cancer after having a Grade 3 mast cell tumor removed. We want to give her the best chance at a longer, pain-free life.

The funds will cover Craita's oncology consults, ultrasounds, chemotherapy, medications, and ongoing care. These treatments will extend her lifespan from just a few months to possibly two years, allowing her to remain playful and comfortable, and giving us more precious time together.

My husband and I are animal lovers who have always prioritized our dogs' health and happiness. Craita is my best friend and has helped me through many difficult years since she has first come into my care. It breaks my heart to see her in pain, and I want to do everything I can to help her. That’s why I’m reaching out for support, so Craita can enjoy her last years, spoiled and loved as she deserves. Thank you to anyone who helps us make that possible.

Craita is a playful joyful little baby.
She always carries one of her favorite toys (right now it's a plush tulip) to bed, and loves to be kissed and is a total lap puppy.

In 2022 she had double enucleation after getting acute glaucoma in each eye around 10 months apart. First she was our little pirate, and now she is our eyeless wonder.
Craita loves getting kisses across her entire face and still "blinks".

Recently she was treated for a hematoma in her ear, which we call her crinkle ear and love very much. Through every health issue, we have fought to treat her and will do anything in order to maintain her happiness and comfort.

Craita rumbles happily like a can opener, and sounds like a piggy when she snores. She loves hearing her name, and being called pretty. She loves cookies, and will squeak and bark like a dying parrot if you tell her she's going on a walk. Despite losing both eyes she loves to travel and explore, and is a very curious and happy dog.

This December we discovered a tumor on her rear end and were told to monitor it. It was ultimately removed in January after rapid growth. This is when we learned that it is a Grade 3 mast cell tumor. Without treatment she has an estimated 3 months left. We want to remove her discomfort, and treat her in order to avoid regrowth and spread of the cancer.

UPDATE (02/04/2026):

This past Monday, Craita had an ultrasound and cytology to determine the scope of the cancer in order to determine her treatment. The $700 we have fundraised until this point helped to cover 44% of the ultrasound and cytology.

Unforunately, it seems that Craita has a second mass that was discovered through the ultrasound. An additional tumor, in her adrenal gland.

We will be moving forward and starting chemotherapy, desperate to maintain her health and limit the spread of this cancer. Please, if you can, spread the word and Craita's story so we may have a chance at providing more for her.
