Wow I don't even know where to stuck to stay the least, several years ago I relocated to Minneapolis Minnesota to spend time with my ailing, elderly mother and uncle. They have since both passed away, and I inherited a small house a very small amount of money and more bills than I could ever imagine. My uncle was quadriplegic and received medical care from the state for most of his life, so they slapped a $549,000 lien on a house worth far less than half of that. So if I sell, the state will immediately take half. Also my uncle got two zero-interest home improvement loans through the city and the county which will be totally forgiven, but not for over a decade. However, due to fucked up loans and laws I'm not allowed to make the house a rental property and move back to CA unless I cough up the $53,000.

To add more crap onto all that now I got a letter saying that I need to give the city $25,000 or they start foreclosure proceedings in 30 days. Apparently mom & uncle violated the agreement..... By dying. Since I don't have that kind of money lying around, I got an attorney, which has cost over $6,000 so far and still counting. I had a small inheritance but my bank account has been drained.

I had been receiving SSI for physical and psychological issues and when my case came up for review I had to get a lawyer and was fighting to keep my benefits, but became ineligible because of my
inheritance. Since then my only source of income has been a string of unreliable roommates, even when they're paying me on time I only get $650 a month which basically goes to bills, property tax, and homeowners insurance. I could sell the house, but after the vultures are done with me I would end up with practically nothing. Also this house has been in my family since it was built in 1941 and it would hurt deeply to let it go. I don't want to lose the house and the thought of being homeless terrifies me.

At this point I'm not even sure I can scrape up next year's property tax. I really need the income from renting the house so I can get back to California and get on my feet. I worry that I might get stuck in Minneapolis until the county seizes the place for delinquent property taxes.

I'm miserable here and have never really fit in anywhere.

My mom, uncle, and aunts are all gone and I have no family left. Except my friends in California, I am alone.

I'm diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, panic attacks, agoraphobia, and Insomnia and have moderate pain issues in my neck, back, and knees, so Im not capable of working. I need to be in California where all my friends, support, connections and opportunities lie.

The reason I am asking for help is I need to pay legal fees, try to pay down my tabs on the city and county loans, move back to California, and get back to living my life and playing music in a place I know and love.

I'm at the end of my rope, I'm completely overwhelmed and drained.

Well, anyway thanks for reading this, and I thank anyone that helps from the bottom of my heart...
