Help the CU Bee Club!

It's been a great ride so far!

The University of Colorado Bee Club has enjoyed an amazing year and a half. In that time, we've given club members their first hands-on experience with beekeeping, hosted a number of knowledgable speakers, volunteered on campus and in the Boulder community, helped to clean up the Boulder Creek, and bottled and labeled our very own honey - from our very own adopted hives - to sell to the student body. Above all else, we've created a community where students feel comfortable to be themselves and meet others who are similarly passionate about the environment and sustainability. Now, we're asking for your help.

In order to continue having an impact on students, the University of Colorado Boulder community, and Boulder's bees, we need your help.  Generous donations were the enabling factor in the Bee Club adopting its own hives and running its first-ever honey sale this year, and donations can ensure that we're able to continue these operations. Each $10 pays for an additional three bottles of honey.

Furthermore, we're looking to take a huge step forward and create a Bee Club Scholarship. This scholarship will pay for highly involved members of the CU Bee Club who demonstrate a passion for sustainability and environmental justice to attend intensive beekeeping classes put on by local beekeeping experts. We will create a committee to establish and administer the scholarship this year, and awards will be given out in the Fall of 2020. Each $200 that we raise pays for one additional student.
