Hepatitis B killed my dad and young brother and we didn't know. Over 20 million Nigerians are chronically infected with Hepatitis B with 90% mostly from child birth through an infected mother or before 7 years old. Over 300 million people worldwide are infected with this disease and 1.4 million deaths yearly. This is a preventable disease that people should not die from. If we were well informed about how dangerous Hepatitis B is, my dad & brother will be alive now.
The only way to know if one has the disease is to get tested. As a Pharmacist, I am spreading this awareness and getting people tested and vaccinated. A lot of underserved, poor mothers are depending on me to help save them from what happened to my dad & brother.
This grandmother said" Please help me save my daughter and grandson from this horrible disease. I am old, I can die anytime, but my daughter and grandson have a lot to do in this world".
So please help me to raise this funds to test 5,000 people from the poorest places in Nigeria. It costs $2 per test to save one life.
