Help Support the Love of my Life - Bowel Cancer

Lela and I first met 11 years ago studying Bachelor of Science at Melbourne University. Our relationship endured a five years of long distance while I studied interstate. We were reunited in 2017 and we both moved to Geelong. She worked as a veterinarian and I worked as a surgical resident.
Life was going great, we finally had some savings, we managed to travel to Europe and Vietnam moved closer to home and we put down a deposit on a two bedroom humble apartment.
Unfortunately, life has unexpectedly taken a turn for the worst. Lelas vague symptoms turned out to be an aggressive form of Stage 4 Bowel cancer that was diagnosed in November after months of waiting on elective hospital lists. She has had to stop work as a veterinarian where she started working in 2018. Treatment has since involved an admission for infection a formation of a stoma and intensive chemotherapy treatment. A recent scan has shown a blockage in her right kidney which might indicate that treatment isn't as effective as we hope.
Currently there is no cure for this terrible cancer. There are other drugs not funded by PBS that we will try should this not work. Unfortunately the cost of the immunotherapy will be out of pocket as it is not yet approved for funding by PBS. The cost is $2200 per week, a massive amount for our current financial situation.
Should you donate, proceeds will be used to fund the treatment, as well as to support her with her ongoing care and medical costs along the way.
