Help Support Prairie Dog Relocation

Prairie Protection is currently assisting both passive relocations (moving prairie dogs on the same land out of restricted areas to safe zones) and active relocations. Hundreds of prairie dogs at various localities in Colorado will be moved this Fall out of harm's way and onto protected prairie landscapes. The prairie dogs need your help for these moves to be successful!

In order to relocate this keystone species, we need humane Tru-Catch traps. These traps are $48 a piece. Prairie Protection would like to get at least 100 of these traps for our current projects and for relocations in the future. We can't do this without your help!


Your donation will help save prairie dogs up and down the Front Range of Colorado. If you can't help on the ground by volunteering time to save this important keystone species, the next best thing is donating money to make it possible for us to save prairie dogs. The more traps we have, the higher the rate of success for the safe and viable relocation of prairie dogs that must be carefully moved out of death zones and onto their new prairie homes where they will have a new chance for life on Colorado's prairies.
