Help support Lincoln Table Tennis

Donation protected
The Lincoln Table Tennis Association (LTTA) is asking for your financial help so that we may buy two new ping pong tables for our club.

Our history goes all the way back to 1985 when Jarry Petterson started the club and has been open weekly ever since. We are a non-profit organization that offers Table Tennis to anyone who wants to play weekly on Sundays from 5-10 pm while only charging $3.00 admission.

Through the Lincoln Parks & Rec, we have been granted space at Belmont Recreation Center to have our club and store our tables. We do not pay rent for this which we most likely could not afford. In exchange for the space, Belmont takes the little in admission fees we raise. This however leaves us without a way to earn income. Over time, there are equipment costs needing covered. Most commonly is the purchasing new balls as old ones break. We scrape together what we can and make this work.

What is more challenging is purchasing new tables. This is where we are asking for your help. Most of our current tables are in bad shape from years of use. Most of them were donated back when we started the club in 1985. We would like to purchase two new, high-quality, tournament-ready ping pong tables. Given we host the Cornhusker State Games every summer, including the State Games of America in 2015, having high quality tables to play on is a reflection of our club and the city of Lincoln for out-of-towners coming to play in the State Games.

Our goal is to raise $1,400 to purchase two new tables.

This would help our club so much and we would be very grateful. These new tables would provide years of enjoyable play for our members & visitors.

Will you help out a club looking to find ways to gain the necessary funds for this dream? We can’t thank you enough for anything you can do.

Sincerely,

The members of the LTTA
