My sister was diagnosed with gastroparesis a few months ago, and since then her health has been in a steady decline. Gastroparesis, is when the muscles that move your stomach, and thus moves food through it, stop working for numerous reasons. This leads to eventual starvation if not treated. Most of the attempts to help her have been met with minimal to no success. She is a strong woman and mother of five children who tries hard to make her family happy. Very recently she was hospitalized because of Long QT Syndrome, which is a disorder of the heart beating erratically.  While hospitalized they detected, what appears, to be her kidneys failing on top of everything else. As her family we have tried to do everything we can, but love can only take her so far. We have offered what money we can to her treatments, but it isn't enough to dent the high medical bills of specialists. Thus, we came here to ask for what help can be given.  Pascal (Group Leader): I just want to save my sister. I know it's likely not possible, but it hurts to be unable to help the family that has always been there to support you. Even in the hardest of times. I want to show her that I respect and admire her for that. At the very least not leave her family with bills to pay. Update #1: We've almost made our original goal of 1,000, so we've increased it to allow people to continue donating if they wish. Really want to thank everyone who has donated money to help the cause!

Update: I'm very slowly regaining my energy from the infection. I've been able to get back to a slow normal. Still not venturing out and about, my immune system isn't at it's best and I need to be very careful. The antibiotics I'm taking make me feel even more ill than just the gastroparesis but it is the best option for the 2 infections I grew in my blood.

My momma went home and we are quietly tucked into the lake cabin. We are actively looking for housing in town, if you know of something please PM me asap. If you are well feel free to reach out and come visit! I miss you all! I know it's a long drive but I'm not the same strong, able, person I once was. I'm learning to live with my new normal. Please help me by not suggesting I run around or expend a bunch of energy.

I want to thank you everyone for all the prayers, love, and vibes... they've been the blessing that pulled me out of a very dangerous infection. I'm a very lucky girl to have the love, support, and friendships I have. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

P.s. if I don't tag you PLEASE don't be offended, I'm doing my best to remember everyone

Haven't updated in awhile daughter trying to get settled in at home but her health continues to decline it seems that when we think something is going right something else breaks. Daughter Jessica in hospital in septic shock. They are removing her TP line and starting treatment. This is a blood infection causing inflammation, trouble breathing, low blood pressure, organ failure and death. She has lost 5 pounds in the past two weeks down to 100 pounds. Needing continuous prayers I may be leaving and going to ID this is very serious 29% people getting septicemia in the hospital die from it. Last night to make things worse she is being treated for possible embolism or blood clots and the medication they gave her caused a reaction and she seized for 40 minutes. Wish I was there to hold her. She said she is feeling a little better this morning getting IVs.
She need to find a place closer to the hospital so I ask that you pray for her. She needs to have something come up that will fit her needs and needs the help once arranged to get all moved.

For those that may not know: Jessica has been put on a permanent IV drip, because she is unable to stabilize her potassium levels. As she had just returned home to Idaho for some peace. This came as a hard blow to our family. They are looking into getting a home in town rather than by the lake, so she can be closer to medical help.

Thank you everyone who has shared, donated, or thought about sister since we started this. It means a lot to our family and to my sister's children.

Jessica's blog about her condition she had a busy week as you can read about and was not able to post another blog until today. Read if you are interested in how she is doing. Looks like she is going to head home in a little more than a week so needing to raise some more money to cover that expense. Thank you for you prayers and financial assistance.
