Help Slé recover from brutal attack

Last Saturday evening Koco, Fetu and Tayah as well as Koco's mother were brutally attacked by three men in a car park in Campbelltown. This was an explicitly transphobic targetted attack that begun with verbal harrasment and quickly escalated leaving the four women severly beaten and bruised with fractured ribs, facial scarring and ultimately shaken from the experience. 

We are looking to raise money for these women to cover all their medical and rehabiliation costs as well as providing them with resources such as working phones, self defence classes, counselling services and assistance with stable housing - anything that will put them on the road to recovery and ensure their safety and livelihood in the future. 

If you have any experience with the girls from Slé, wether its watching them perform or just knowing them as individuals, you know how resilient, strong and an indepedent they are - often unwilling to ask or express their need for help. However, as a community we have a responsibility to protect those who are more vulnerable and less priviledge, we have responbility to ensure we ALL survive and thrive in this world as our own authentic selves.
