Being LGBTQ+ in school can be really tough, can you help us change this?
The key findings from the LGBT Ireland Report 2016 show that LGBTQ+ young people are four times more likely to suffer from depression and three times more likely to attempt suicide. ShoutOut believes that the silence surrounding LGBTQ+ identities is the root cause of these shocking statistics.
ShoutOut is a charity which delivers free workshops in schools that tackle LGBTQ+ bullying on the island of Ireland. Since our beginning in 2012, we have delivered 850 workshops to over 25,000 students.
We are so proud of what we have achieved so far but we're still a tiny organisation that has limited resources and receives no government funding. We've doubled the number of workshops delivered in recent years but the reality is that we cannot afford to do a workshop in every school that requests one.
Your support means that we can deliver more workshops and reach more young people, will you help us?
• €5.00 is the cost of printing one Volunteer Guide
• €10.00 pays for one volunteer to travel to a workshop
• €25.00 covers the cost of volunteer training venue hire
• €100.00 transports a team of volunteers to a rural workshop
