Help Save Zen Bee Honey

A passion blossomed in Eric as a young man as he grew up in New York. He found honey bees so fascinating and beautiful.  It was this passion that gave him the idea of looking into the bees, but even though he wanted to learn more he couldn't due to locations of where he lived. He vowed at that time to one day be a beekeeper and truly get to know these amazing little creatures that fly from flower to flower.

It took 38 years for him to be in the right place to begin his journey with the bees. He started out small with only one hive which he cared for deeply and pampered his bees with a yard full of flowers. This first hive resparked a brand new excited and passion. As he learned more about the bees he began to realize a true potential in not just growing his apiary,  but also in helping farmers and communities with fresh produce and natural raw honey. The dreaming started! He began to think about a goal in giving people struggling the ability to regain footing in their life through buying land, building homes for them and teaching them about beekeeping, farming and raising livestock. His vision is simple give people that helping hand and they will in turn pay it forward,  but it's so much deeper than even that. It's his wish that others would see his good and begin to seek out others that they can help and maybe one day we'll see a society that will all be lending a hand with neighbours, family and friends.

In 2016 Eric began the journey in growing his apiary even more by purchasing another 4 hives. As spring hit he caught a few swarms bringing his hives to 8 total. The excited seeing his bees thriving and going out to collect and pollinate was heavenly. Eric spoke with someone he thought he could completely trust and was like family.

It was through his goats that he found this person (or so he thought) who could invest. He approached hee with his idea and with great delight in her face agreed to invest in the bees for a percentage of their production, pollination and wax. They both decides to push it a step further and wanted 130 hives. Eric new it would take time for the bees to become strong enough to start producing honey. He informed his partner of this Nd would keep her informed on how they were doing.

Eric built, treated, fed and worked on the bees. He did so with blood  (nearly cutting his finger off), sweat and tears of having to wait to get any return for himself which out huge strains on his home and life, but he knew that those things would change once the bees were all strong..

His investor now partner was getting anxious and impatient. She began pushing Eric and wanting to know when honey was coming. Eric was building the brand through purchasing honey from a local beekeeper who had been mentoring him for the past 3 years. Recently his partner decided she was going to take the bees and move them to Vegas where she already had someone lined up to manage them for her. Eric was going to give up and allow her to take them until he had a conversation with his father who stated that he shouldn't give up so easily on the bees that he worked hard for them. After thinking about it and realizing that his father was right, Eric sent his partner a message to acquire an attorney. Which meant we needed to as well, but that meant we needed the money for the lawyer ourselves and seeing that our bees haven't been producing those finances are not there.

This is where you get to come in and give a little extra helping hand. We need to raise enough money to pay the lawyer his money and pay the truck he is buying from investor off as well.

Helping us on this will not just help ensure that Zen Bee Honey continues forward in our mission  in saving the bees, but to also help in getting to the place where we can help others too.
