Help Save the Britannia Beach Community Dock

A devastating storm hit the west coast of British Columbia on December 20, 2018 and caused massive damage across the Province.
The Britannia Beach Community Dock was hit by extreme winds and waves which caused substantial damage to the breakwater, access point, gangway and main float of the dock.
We are in dire need of emergency funds to return the facility back to it's pre-storm condition. We have tried to access Provincial and SLRD funds but we have been rejected so far. Our emergency contingency fund is not enough to repair, let alone we were due for major work to the main float in the Spring in which we planned to access these funds. Anything you can spare would help us a great deal and assist in keeping this precious gem in our community and for other boaters, visitors, tourists to continue to enjoy.
We have currently closed all access to the facility to ensure public safety which is paramount.
