Help Save Koa

Donation protected

Koa was diagnosed with Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (IMT) on Wednesday August 9th. An autoimmune disease similar to lupus in humans. IMT is a serious disease in which a dog’s body attacks its own blood platelets. Platelets are necessary for blood clotting and when a dog’s blood platelet count is low, it can lead to bruising, bleeding, anemia and other serious complications.
Koa's blood tests have revealed that Koa is in serious need of help. He has no more red blood cells and has a bacterial infection due to the immune suppressant he's been taking to try and save him. He needs a blood transfusion and around the clock care. I have exhausted my credit limits on blood tests, vet visits and drugs to help save his life. Even staying home from work to carry him in and out to go to the bathroom and bring him water to his bedside. He's so weak that he can no longer walk or stand. If I can't get help fast for him I may be forced to put him down.

This is our last hope.
I'm reaching out to friends and family who have known and loved Koa and our family to help in any way they can.
Funds raised for Koa will pay for the medications and treatments needed to save his life.
