I have just heard of the New Years Eve fire at the storage warehouse in Purley Way, Croydon which has been almost completely destroyed - which sadly held almost the entire contents of my good friend and collaborator, Joe Pearson's  (Design For Today) stock and ultimately his business, not to mention  personal family photos and most of a lifetimes precious book collection. 

As someone who also works alone to run a business (a lot of people may not realise that Design For Today is a relentlessly hardworking one man band) I can stress that something like this will be a completely devastation both personally and financially to the business.

Unfortunately his insurance covers very little of what has been lost (estimated to be in the realm of almost £100k worth of stock) and although money can't replace the items of sentimental value we would like to help Joe re-print the lost stock and make a start on replacing part of his book collection that he has amassed over the decades.

This is an appeal as a friend, to Joe's friends, collaborators, stockists, customers and supporters and even to those who have simply enjoyed the Design For Today Instagram posts that detailed the many wonderful pictures from his book collections, to please contribute what you feel you can.
