We are reaching out to you for your support for a family in the community.
Vilma, a resident of East Boston, has been living a nightmare no mother would ever want to live through. She was reunited with her son Christian three years ago, when he made the journey from El Salvador to the United States. Christian is a student at East Boston High School and a chef. Christian is also undocumented. He was unfortunately caught at the wrong place at the wrong time, which led to his arrests and to his detention. He has been moved several times and is currently in York County Jail in Pennsylvania.
Christian was put in detention November 1st 2016. He spent his 18th birthday in detention and is still there to this day. His mother, Vilma, has desperately been trying to raise the money for his bail to get him out of detention, but has two other young children and has not been able to. His bond has been set to $7,000. We fear that he will be deported if we do not get the bail money soon enough. Christian is kind young man with a good heart, who has had many references and people speak on his behalf and in support of him. He has been struggling with being in detention for over five months and desperately wants to come home. Please share and donate to help us reunite this family and bring Christian back to Boston!
