Help Save Aegeus!

We recently received a call from a community member who had found a dog living, tied up, underneath a nearby home. She knew the dog was in poor condition, and was terrified that he would die there. She was able to get him into a crate, and brought him up to the ACC so he could receive the care he needed. 

Once he arrived at our shelter, we realized that the dog had been so neglected, he needed immediate medical care if he was going to have any chance at survival, so we transported him to Canines, Cats and Critters. Our vet said he was the worst case of neglect she had ever seen in her entire practice. He was covered in millions of fleas that could be seen by those standing 5 feet away from him, was having vision difficulties due to the puss coming from his eye infections, and was so weak he could barely move. As a result of his parasites, the dog was severely anemic, with only 8% red blood cells left, and is a victim of advanced heartworm disease.

We named him "Aegeus," meaning "Protector". 

Now, Aegeus and the ACC need your help to get this sweet boy the care he needs. His hospitalization bills, medications, and heartworm treatment are already adding up, and he still has a long road ahead towards recovery. Will you help him?
