Help Roger throw the book at cancer

On September 18th, life changed in a big way for my sister, Laura, her husband, Roger, and their son, Colin. That morning, they went to the emergency room because Roger was having some stomach ailments. They never expected that would be the day they learned Roger had a complete blockage in his large intestine and that it would require emergency surgery. The biopsy revealed Stage 4 colon cancer. Not the news we were hoping for. Later pet scans also show small spots in his liver and a mass in his lungs.
So now that we know what we are up against, THE FIGHT IS ON!
Roger is currently undergoing 6 months of chemotherapy and at some point in the future, he may require additional surgeries to remove the spots in his lungs and liver. Treatment is expensive and there is a possibility that treatment may go longer than 6 months. It's taking a large toll physically and financially on their family.
So please help us band together to support Roger, Laura, and Colin as they fight this battle. The money raised here will help cover the costs of medicine and supplement income lost due to treatment visits and doctor visits. We're starting with a goal of $2,000 but that will probably rise as he gets further into treatment.
We're hoping this helps ease the stress and worry for Roger so he can focus on what's important-- kicking cancer's ass.
