Help Reunite The Salazar Family

Donation protected

It is our desire to reunite the Salazar family after a long strenuous and unfortunate 16 years citizenship process. Temo is now currently living in Mexico having been separated from his family since August of 2016. Temo came to America from Mexico Legally as a 6 year old with his family. His parents began the process of getting Green Cards for the family to become Permanent Residents of America. Temo received his Alien Number and a Social Security Number and while he awaited his Green Card he moved forward with his life thinking all is well! He has been a a hard working, business owner and tax paying resident, and contributing member to society, but now is burdened with living apart from his family. His wife and children remained, as it was hoped that the situation could be resolved. Tragically, there has been no further contact as to how they can proceed and the family is without both his financial provision and loving presence.

The Following is an excerpt of a letter to President Obama, as a final desperate plea for help.

August 29, 2016
President Barack Obama
President of the United States of America 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20500

President Barack Obama,

My name is Sandra Salazar and I am humbly requesting your intervention on my husband’s recent deportation. I plead for mercy as the decision to deny his Form I-485 application after he has lived in this country for over 40 years has resulted in the immediate revocation of his ability to work and provide for our family and immediately leave the country which means that he was forced to abandon me, his wife of 22 years, our three children and his mother who are all U.S. Citizens.

I believe that the decision to formally deny his Legal Permanent Residence is in error for the following reasons:

As friends of Sandra & Temo, our hearts are saddened that their family has been separated because of Temo's deportation. As a result, Sandra has had to try to make ends meet on her salary that is just above low-income level that keeps her from receiving housing subsidies but not enough to make her monthly rent payments. As a result, she has been experiencing a monthly shortfall that her landlord has extended mercy but will be selling the rental home by June. Sandra will be selling all of their household items to raise money to pay their bills and to make the trip once her youngest is out of school for the summer. At that time, they will move to Mexico City to reunite with Temo. Temo has been living and working there but his income is so low that he could use help bringing his family to Mexico. It is truly unfortunate that this family has done everything ethically and legally possible to respect and honor the US policies set forth, only to continue to be at a loss.

As friends of the faith community, in collaboration with The Salazar’s church family, we want to invite others, who feel the pain of this family to join us. Our hearts are burdened and we would like to assist them financially to meet their monthly rent for the their remaining time here in the United Sates, fund their move to Mexico City, help them replace household belongings as they establish their new home, and continue to pursue US legal residency! Thank You for any prayers and support you can offer.

Sincerely,
Dr. Raleigh Galgan and friends of the Salazar Family
