Help Rescue These 7 Angels

Donation protected

Hey everyone. Just to be clear, I am not a rescue. I am just a regular person that came across this horrible situation and decided to act! This is a heartbreaking story of neglect and abuse. I came across a rescue that found an abandoned puppy by the railroad tracks that was only about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks old. His tail had been inhumanely docked by tying a rubberband around the tail to cut off the circulation. Eventually, the tissue in the tail died and fell off which left this helpless little puppy with an open wound and a terrible infection that cost him his life.

Luckily, we were able to find the careless people who were neglecting not only these newborn puppies, but their mother as well. They were a HOMELESS couple living in a shack by the railroad tracks with not 2 adult dogs, but 4. The mother of the pups is a Cane Corso and their father, a loving and very protective German Sheppard. There was a total of 15 puppies in the liter, 4 already died in the "care" of the homeless and 1 died in the hospital.

The problem with saving these puppies... The owners wanted money for each one. "$500 for each" they said. The rescue was able to get 2 for $500 since the other puppy died but when my Husband and I went to attempt to rescue a few more puppies, we were met with a hard bargain. They told us that  the males were $500 and the females $250. I received $400 from the rescue group and decided to give $350 out of my own pocket to rescue 2 more.

These puppies were walking/playing/sleeping/eating in their own feces and urine. Their water bowl was dirty with feces since the puppies would step in it, and they weren't being nursed by the mom, they were being fed dry oats. I just couldn't stand the living conditions that these babies were in and I knew I had to do what I could to save these puppies. You may be asking, "Why can't you call animal control?" We can, and when we do, the ASPCA will take the puppies, and by the time they are adoptable, more than likely they will not be adoptable therefor leading to euthanizations.

After taking in 4 very young puppies, bottle feeding them as they were only 4 weeks old, and getting them to the Vet for wellness checks, it has been extremely difficult for me financially to support these babies and find them forever homes or fosters. One of the puppies I took in, Cubby, had to make a few trips to the ER as he was having breathing problems and thats when I found out that he had a heart murmur. Another puppy, Bubba, still had difficulty healing his tail from being docked in the cruel manner described above; every time it was time to eat, they would literally inhale their food as if they have never been given a meal. And yet, I knew that there were still 6 puppies that needed to be rescued and made another attempt to get a few more.

When we went back this past Saturday, mom was tied up outside by a dirt pile and dad was running loose. I paid by debt of $350 for the last sale and I had $850 cash and I wanted 3 more puppies. Initially the owners wanted $500 each but with a bit of assertiveness and pressure, I was able to resuce 3 more puppies.

So here's what I need. I need help to raise funds so that I can take the remaining puppies to get their wellness checks to make sure that they are okay. These funds will also help me with dog food, the prior costs of formula, pee pads, and hopefully an echocardiogram to check Cubby's heart murmur and some X-rays for Bubba's tail and also find forever homes for 2 more of the 7 that I saved. There are still 2 more puppies left to be saved but I can no longer afford to save them.

I know that right now, everyone is probably financially strapped with their each individual lives. But how many of you drink a Starbucks or Jamba Juice every day? How many of you have coins in the car that you rarely  think about unless you're sitting at a drive thru and just received your total for your meal? I have given up my occasional Jamba Juice to help these puppies financially and my tax refunds have also gone towards the effort of trying to help these homeless and helpless babies.

Many of my friends have said that they wanted to help and would take a puppy but for whatever reason, they just can't take in a large dog breed. So I'm asking for donations. ANY AMOUNT is a good amount because it all adds up. Please help me get these puppies checked out and also get their first vaccinations and find forever homes.

Any leftover funds will be donated to a dog rescue or the ASPCA.  And once all the puppies are rescued we do have every intention of going back to this homeless shack, seizing the rest of their animals and doing our best to make sure that this doesn't happen again.

Please help us.... Time is of the essence and the faster we can get these funds, the sooner we can save all of these puppies. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this long story... And I hope that you will help us with your generous doanations. This is something that I will never forget.

And should you decide to donate, I will be sending you something special in return as well so please make sure to send me your address. So thank you so much!
