Hello GoFundMe friends,
I'm someone living on the edge of not making it financially. I normally work 55-65 hours a week at 2 jobs to support myself, my partner whom is under-employed, and our 2 cats. Most of my income goes into our rent, and unfortunately where we live, the rental cost: $1,345 + communal and individual utilities is normal.
On 10/12/18 I was admitted to the hospital for acute gangrenous appendicitis. I spent the next 4.5 days in the hospital. I was discharged only to be readmitted to the hospital the next day due to an abcess that formed at the appendix site. When I was discharged again I could barely walk and had a drain tube installed. I couldn't work either of my jobs for most of the rest of the month of October. I started working again the last week of October (10/29). I drained my tiny savings account to pay for rent the month of October.
I can recover financially, but it'll take till about mid-December for me to be able to work both my jobs again due to medical restrictions on my capacity to lift, stand, push, etc. I'm asking for the cost of 1 month's rent (including my communal utilities) to help me be able to recover from this. Any help is appreciated & will help me get through this.
