Help recover after an accident

(Sorry for all the reading ahead of time!)
Today, my friends and I got in a wreck on our way home. While we were driving, on a two lane road, we saw the remains of an 18 wheeler tire laying ahead of us. Unable to change lanes at our current speed (the speed limit 70, and a big rig in the other land) we swerved to avoid the tire. Because of this, our car ran into the steel fence of the median, into grass, and nearly into the opposite road of traffic.
In the car was myself, my partner, and two friends. My partner (the driver) suffered minor injuries and everyone else is alright; just shaken up. It's a miracle no more damage was done to all of us.
While this is definitely a horrible turn of events, it gets even worse because we are nowhere near home. This all happened in Kentucky and we were headed for Texas.
Right now we're working to secure our way home but once we get there, I'm completely out a car. It's totaled and it was a perfectly usable car (no problems whatsoever).
So, as a result, I've set this up to help me get back on my feet with a new car. I've already researched some cars in my area (once we get back home) and all funds will go right towards this car.
I appreciate all help as this was totally unexpected and just all around a stressful, upsetting turn of events.
