Course fees for Counselling Diploma

Donation protected
Hey there. After a fairly useless archaeology degree, raising two awesome children to successful teenagerhood, and 10+ years as a voluntary worker and self-employed arts practitioner, it's time for a change of gear - from well-meaning volunteer to fully qualified counsellor. I'm reaching out to ask, can you help me achieve my dream?  So far along this journey, I have been a volunteer support worker at both the Northern Refugee Centre, and The Children's Society, and more recently have been working as a volunteer mentor at the Together Women Project. I have seen how little professional counselling and emotional support there is out there for vulnerable people, and how desperately it is needed, and I want to put my shoulder to the wheel.  In September 2018 I took up a place to study a foundation course in counselling and psychotherapy at Academy SPACE (Sheffield Psychotherapy And Counselling Education - and yes, I'm very disappointed they didn't call it SPACE Academy, too), which leads on to a three year Diploma, by the end of which I should be a fully qualified, accredited-to-practice, counsellor and psychotherapist. In order to continue on to Diploma, I need to pull together some finance, and due to my having already completed higher education, I am not eligible for any of the usual grants, loans or bursaries. Neither, for various reasons, am I eligible for any other career development or charitable funding. Believe me, I've trawled a LOT of money-related internet lately! I am currently working two part-time jobs, alongside my voluntary work, so my living costs are covered, but unfortunately with a family to look after too (and don't get me started on vet bills), I'm not able to squirrel away many of these wages towards course fees. So, I'm holding out my hat and asking if anyone is able, and willing, to help. As this course is not being run at a university (although it is kind of a university course, having been run at Sheffield Hallam until a few years ago), the fees are waaaay less than the usual diploma fees, but right now it is still beyond my means. Any extra that is raised, from employment or donations, will go towards CPD (Continuing Personal Development) workshops to help improve my knowledge of and competence with therapies and techniques not covered on the course. I have broken down the monies below, and even just a quid will help, but more than that, even if you can't help, thank you for reading this far.   (Foundations of Counselling  (One year: Sept 2018 - June 2019) - £1225) **FULLY FUNDED** Thank you so much, I love you all x and then... Personal counselling: £500 Books: £100 Professional Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (3 years: Sept 2019 - June 2022) - £8,064 Year 1: £2,016 Year 2: £3,024 Year 3: £3,024 Fees will also apply for undergoing accreditation to a professional body (such as BACP), but I don't know what these will be in three years' time, so I'll cross that bridge when I come to it!
