This is my wonderful niece Rachel. A few years ago, she was diagnosed with narcolepsy with cataplexy. Over the past few months, her condition has worsened. Cataplexy is a sudden and uncontrollable muscle weakness, and sometimes paralysis that comes on suddenly and without much warning. She also has some seizures. Sometimes Rachel wakes up paralyzed. She is often confined to her home, and lately, she has missed a lot of work. Because of the missed work, Rachel is at risk of missing car payments, not being able to pay her rent, and her other bills. I want to help her out. Please donate anything you can. While Rachel waits to get in to see a neurologist for treatment, I want her to be able to live without fear of losing her home, her car, and getting severely behind on bills. If anyone deserves help, it’s Rachel. She was there for me when my mom passed away last year in September. She stayed with me for almost two weeks because she knew leaving me alone would be very painful. Without her, I have no idea how I could have gotten through those first couple of weeks without my mom. She has a good heart, and if I had to pick a favorite family member, it would be Rachel.
