it’s been three years since i’ve had a comfortable bed.. and that one was moldy. since then i’ve slept on the ground, blankets on plywood, a deflating air mattress, a very old mattress that aggravated my pet allergies, and currently a shitty free futon with springs that jab me in the side.
i have eczema and allergies to dust mites, and experience back, hip, and shoulder pain frequently. i’d really love to be able to get a new mattress that doesn’t exacerbate these health problems. i’m estimating it will cost $510 altogether for a new memory foam mattress ($250) and metal frame ($100), pillows ($40), dust mite/allergen covers for the mattress and pillows ($60), and new sheets and pillowcases ($60) as well.
anything helps and the sooner the better, i’m on my feet alot at work and have a surgery with a couple weeks of bedrest afterward coming up soon and it would be soo nice to have a comfortable and healthy place to sleep asap.
