Help Pay For Luke-Pup's Bills
Donation protected
Last night at about 3AM, Luke was attacked by a trio of coyotes who had managed to get through the side gate. He was put in 'critical' condition and is being held for several days in critical care, with other procedures and treatments pending, depending on his progress and the doctors' findings.
His low-end estimate is $6,500, and the high end is $14,800. We are uncertain how to be able to afford this, but I am not giving up on my little dog. We're currently struggling to find a way to pay the bill, as they need payment immediately, so any funding I can gather from this will be used to pay off what we get from loans.
My goal is ideally the 6K low end, as the 6K to 14K range given was wide from the possibility of treatments for worse-case scenarios. So at the very least, I would like to try to reach the $6,000 range. But anything helps. This attack devastated us, and I want to be there for the little dog the way he's always been there for us.
When he and his litter-mates were babies, I used to go over and help bottle feed and take care of them. I'd always had my eye on Luke, but one day while feeding him with a bottle, he opened his eyes for the first time, and he and I had an instant and perfect connection.
He's always been there for me for everything, good and bad, and now is the time for me to be there for him. But for that I could really use your help. So please, I ask very sincerely, please help in any way you can.

This is the rundown on his injuries from the attack:
Several broken ribs and punctures from the teeth, which are currently healing 'pretty well' due to their attentive care with the bandages and changing them out and cleaning.
Bruised lungs. Luke is fortunate in that his lungs did not get punctured, but there is bruising and he is being kept on air in an oxygen tent so that he can maintain as healthy a pair of lungs as possible as he recovers.
Blood loss and topical bite wounds. What you expect initially from such an attack. He lost quite a lot of blood after the attack, but the bandages as previously mentioned have helped start to heal up the surface damage of the bite wounds.
The last thing, and most notable area of concern, was his tweaked spine. Initially Luke showed paralysis in his hind legs. This had been a concern of vets in the past, since Luke has always been a very athletic dog, and tweaked his back a couple times from jumping too much. His feeling has started to return to his back legs, so they're tentatively optimistic about it.
However, it also means that he is being very closely watched, because if there IS any trouble with his spine, or trouble comes back, then that is where the "high end" of their estimates will come in.
