Help out Immanuel United Church

Immanuel United Church-Christ has been a staple of the South Fairmont community for over a century. Not only has the church been a pillar of faith for its congregation, it has also been a driving force helping out the less fortunate.
Unfortunately, the once thriving assembly of over 1500 members has seen a decline in membership since the turn of the century to a total of 25 parishioners. This severely limits the church’s ability to make improvements to the property that are necessary to continue their tradition of serving multiple meals monthly to the areas hungry, in additon to providing a pantry service. All of these meals and goods are made on site solely funded through worshiper’s donations.
During the past few months, building conditions in the kitchen have declined putting these meals at risk. Sections of the ceiling have begun to pull away from the structure directly above the ovens putting the cooks and food in danger.
Our goal here is to raise enough money for the church to properly fix their kitchen ceiling and continue providing this vital service to the community.
