I also received a lot of cash donations outside the GoFundMe page, as well as card and letters, and am continuing to get them. Sue Rachford made Norm a pretty cool knit blanket I'll have to share.
To those I haven't had a chance to catch up with yet, and still want to help of pass on well wishes to Norm, you can stop by the Erlanger Police Department and speak to me or the clerk. If you want to send something by mail you can send it to "Norm" C/O Jon Sterling 505 Commonwealth Ave Erlanger KY 41018.
Thank you for helping me prove once again that there is more kindness in this world than there is hate.
Have an awesome frickin day!
Jon, I am so sad to hear of the passing of Norm. Thank you for being the kind and loving man you were to take care of him and look after him. I am so happy that you and your wife were there with him when he passed as no one should ever pass alone. Thank you again for being so caring. You will meet up with him again one day.
Just think of you, your wife and Norm. I really wanted to come down for the funeral but sadly you are about 6 hrs away from me and that would have been a lot of driving in one day as I need to be home for Sat morning. I hope the service is beautiful tomorrow as Norm deserves it. I know it will be a sad day for you as you say your final goodbye to Norm. You and your wife have done so much for Norm. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May Norm Rest In Peace. Bless you.
Thank you for letting us know of his passing. Would you please pass along any information on services that will be provided - it would be my privilege to honor this man.
Jon, I am so thankful that you reached out to Norm. I'm sure that he felt loved and blessed to be part of your family. Thank you for sharing this need, and for taking that first step, allowing us to share in this journey. Rest in peace, Norm.
I am so sorry,I am glad I helped in some small way.Thank you Jon
I have been in your shoes, Jon. God has blessed Norman by crossing your paths. I hope that you are being given legal advice by an elder attorney in KY. Norm is entitled to all benefits he qualifies for but, be careful that the donations are sheltered from being included in Norm's income. Too much money/income, and he could lose VA benefits. I hope he loves his new home. I pray his dementia is age related and not Alzheimer's. Best of luck to you both, and God bless you.
can we start a gofundme for someone to remove that mole?
Oh, and hand size!!
I am grateful for you, that you choose to help this man,my faith in people has been restored.
He looks happy Jon. I know if Norm could teach some history to others, that would make him very happy. We will get in touch with you soon to find out when we can visit him.
The VA also has Peer Support that can help. Thank you for Your Service, Sir. May God Bless you. Peer support can help finding him veterans rent based on his income
Great news ....... Glad you met your goal ☺
