La Conferencia de NMUN tiene el privilegio de recibir a estudiantes de todo el mundo en la sede de las Naciones Unidas en la ciudad de Nueva York, lo que lo convierte en el Modelo de Naciones Unidas con mayor prestigio a nivel mundial. Tiene una trayectoria de más de 47 años formando a la nueva generación de líderes internacionales, preparándonos para comprender y solucionar los conflictos internacionales más recientes.
La Delegación UCVista ante el National Model United Nations Conference New York es organizada y representada por Asociación civil sin fines de lucro Grupo Pensar Global. Quien ha estado encargada de elegir a la representación de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, la UCV fue la primera casa de estudio en asistir al NMUN en representación de nuestro país en el 2004, desde entonces, la delegación de la UCV se convirtió en la primera universidad en toda Latinoamérica en recibir el premio a “Delegación Sobresaliente” (Outstanding Delegation) correspondiente al primer lugar (2007) también las delegaciones ucevistas han sido reconocidas hasta la fecha con nueve Outstanding Delegation, premio que corresponde al primer lugar y con tres Distinguished Delegation, premio que corresponde al segundo lugar.
A través de los años, nuestro éxito en esta tarea se ha visto materializado con la obtención de diversos reconocimientos. En NMUN UCV creemos firmemente que una sociedad próspera se construye sobre las bases de la tolerancia, cooperación y trabajo en equipo, por lo que fomentamos la creación de espacios donde las personas pueden desarrollar habilidades de diálogo y debate para encontrar soluciones pacíficas a problemas de relevancia nacional e internacional.
Tú también puedes ser parte de este proyecto. Nuestra participación en NMUN 2019 requiere de recursos financieros para cubrir costos de inscripción, traslado, hospedaje y alimentación. The NMUN Conference has the privilege of receiving students from around the world at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York City. The thing that makes this Model of United Nations one of the most prestigious in the world, it’s a history of more than 47 years training the next generation of international leaders, preparing us to understand and solve the latest international controversies.
The Delegation from the UCV to the National Model United Nations Conference in New York is organized and represented by the nonprofit association Grupo Pensar Global. Who has been in charge of choosing the representation of the Universidad Central de Venezuela. The UCV was the first university from Venezuela that attended to NMUN, representing our country in 2004, since then, the delegation of the UCV became the first university in Latin America to receive the award for Outstanding Delegation for the first time in 2007, also our university has been recognized as Outstanding Delegation (1st place) ninth times, and three times as Distinguished Delegation (2nd place).
Over the years, obtaining several awards has materialized our success in this journey. In NMUN UCV we firmly believe that a prosperous society is built on the basis of tolerance, cooperation and teamwork, so we encourage the creation of spaces where people can develop skills of dialogue and debate to find peaceful solutions to problems of national and international relevance.
You can also be part of this project. Our participation in NMUN 2019 requires resources to cover registration fees, transportation, lodging and food.
