On Sunday February 4, 2018, the Patriots lost the Super Bowl.
At the same time I suffered a loss too.
I came home from what should have been a fun night out watching the game to a full fledged nightmare. While I was away thieves broke into my apartment through a kitchen window and helped themselves to two TVs, a blue Xbox One S and all of its games and controllers, my laptop, and various pieces of good jewelry including my high school class ring and my grandmother's gold link bracelet . So far the police have no leads, no fingerprints, nothing to go on. As it seems, my stuff is gone, and they've gotten away with it.
Those of you who know me know I've worked for 7 years as a teacher ,first teaching preschool and now teaching special ed. I've lived paycheck to paycheck for years, and only splurged on something if I had been able to save for it. As it is, I simply can't afford to replace what has been taken on my own .
I'm going to be very honest: your donation will help me replace material things that were stolen from my home. Things that others may not feel are important, but were to me. Things that I had worked hard for through blood, sweat and tears. Things that, without a little boost, I can't replace on my own.
I'm not usually one to ask for help like this, but any help right now will be well received.
Once I get a laptop to use for artwork again, those who donate will receive a piece of art (or more) as a thank you. I've never been one to just take handouts, and never will be. I'd rather work for it.
