Help Needed with Rent/Storage Expenses

Donation protected
My landlords have raised my rent by $700 (from $1800 to $2500/month) beginning this month (May), and I'm hoping to be able to get into subsidized housing in a few months, but my former roommate has recently moved out, and due to a variety of factors, I wasn't able to find new housemates in time.  I'm still busy looking for new roommates, and should have them in time for June (*fingers crossed*), but May's rent needs to be paid now, and I just don't have the money, especially now that I'm also paying an additional $267/month for my health insurance.  (It always happens all at once, doesn't it?)

Since I'll be turning the current living room into another bedroom soon, I also need to pack up a fair amount of my possessions and put them into storage until I'm able to move. (Mainly books, bookcases, bins of fabric, sewing and costume supplies, and clothes.)  If someone can help out with storage space, that would be wonderful; otherwise, I'll be looking for a small unit in the meantime, and that also costs money.  The most important thing now, though, is to get May's rent paid by May 14, and that's what I'm mainly focusing on at the moment.   (No, not paying isn't an option; right now an eviction complaint--which I actually need my landlords to file so I can submit it, along with a summons and agreement, to the housing authority to qualify on a priority basis--will be no-fault, but being evicted for non-payment would pretty much wreck my chances.  Yes, it's all extremely complicated, and, believe it or not, this is the TL;DR version.)

Note: If I'm able to find new roommates in time, I can see about prorating the rent for them for this month, and returning an appropriate percentage of any donations to those donating; at this point, though, it doesn't look as if anyone would be moving in until much later in the month, perhaps not until June, and, alas, the rent needs paying now.  If you're local, I can see about making you some baked goods in thanks; otherwise, you may have to settle for my, and my cat Romeo's, sincerest gratitude.

Thank you so much for reading this!
