Help my Mom w/ Parkinson's Therapy
My Mother, Cynthia , is a lifelong ability advocate and the epitome of altruism.
She is a champion of helping others, both before and since I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age one, soon after becoming a massage therapist to help me and so many more in the process.
After a lifetime of helping to empower people of all ability levels she is currently living with Parkinson’s, so I've turned to crowdfunding to help raise the $50,000 cost of Focused Ultrasound therapy for Parkinson's as well as medical and care expenses.
Meanwhile, Mom is doing everything she can to improve, inspired by the Focused Ultrasound Therapy TED Talk video, below, with Dr. Neal Kassell, esteemed author John Grisham, and a healed former Parkinson's patient, shown at 12:12, below, and also another Focused Ultrasound video from Dr. Sanjay Gupta and everydayhealth.com, directly below.
In closing, my Mother is a hero to me and all who know and love her and you will be a hero to my Mom, my family and me by contributing to and sharing this, helping Mom heal and thrive again.
Here's a new update message from Mom and me, below.
Thanks for reading and your support.
I hope you are enjoying the holidays.
I appreciate you taking a moment to read this, as I wanted to share an update on my health.
Though tremors have currently made correspondence a challenge, below is a letter from Aaron on my behalf, with updated information on my seeking treatment for Parkinson’s through Focused Ultrasound Therapy.
Thank you for your support.
I hope this letter finds you well.
On the subject of wellness, as you may or may not be aware, Mom has been living with Parkinson’s disease for a number of years now.
Last year I found the following TED Talk about Focused Ultrasound and shared it with Mom and since July, 2017 Mom and I have been researching Focused Ultrasound Therapy treatment for Parkinson’s.
Because of the impressive results of Focused Ultrasound, she’s been inspired to pursue it wholeheartedly.
After many hours of research, phone calls and correspondence, Mom found the best opportunity to obtain the needed treatment is in Switzerland at the SoniModul Clinic, because they are far advanced in the use of Focused Ultrasound Therapy, having completed clinical trials in 2012.
Focused Ultrasound procedures are currently in the clinical trial stages in The United States for its use with Parkinson’s, whereas it has been the standard of care in Switzerland since the beginning of 2013.
The procedure is not covered by insurance and therefore I initiated a go fund me crowd funding campaign for Mom in August, 2017. Funds will be needed for the procedure, travel, assisted care and accommodations.
Contributions can be made to The Cynthia Elliott Medical Fund at Islanders Bank in person or to PO box 909, Friday Harbor, WA, 98250. Please include the account number 0097 on the check.
If you’ve already contributed thank you very much and if you’d please share this update it’s also very much appreciated. Thank you for your part in making this goal of treatment possible.
If you have any questions about the procedure you can visit the SoniModul Clinic website, here: https://sonimodul.ch Or contact Mom through Facebook or email with your phone number included and she will call you back as soon as possible.

With your help so far $5,000 has been raised by 61 people in 20 days!
Any sharing is appreciated, as it helps towards the $50,000 goal, leading to Mom healing with Focused Ultrasound, demonstrated here, below.
Your love, support, contribution and sharing encourages Mom as she continually improves with her physical and occupational therapy, crucial to her being able to get Focused Ultrasound Therapy, heal, share her story and through that help others too.
Thank you for being a part of that.
Cynthia, Aaron and Adam
