HELP MY DAD KNOCK CANCER OUT

Donation protected
Greetings, my name is Jawara, I live in Manchester UK and I study at Manchester Metropolitan university. But this story is not about me, this is about my dad, Buzrak Mabrak. My dad is well known in the Manchester Cultural community, especially in Moss Side, where we have lived for years. He has been very active in the local community doing poetry readings, workshops and performances, volunteering and doing work in the primary schools. He created ‘Sky the Limit children’s workshop”, that goes into the schools and presents workshops dealing with issues of racism, diversity, health and wellbeing and healthy eating etc. In 2014 He guided Claremont primary school yr 9 students to the Manchester poetry Championship. He has cooked for the elders and various community groups and is known for his excellent vegan and vegetarian catering.

Right now my dad is very sick with prostrate, lymph and bone cancer and although he is fighting for his life he is still somehow finds time  to help others that are in need.

My dad is on a quest to heal himself naturally, It has proved to be very costly and unsustainable in this country.

His mum, my grandmother who is in Jamaica, is also very sick suffering from terminal cancer. Every day my auntie says she keeps calling for my dad.

Because of his enormous medical care cost and my determination to help my dad in any way I can to keep him alive n healthy I decided to sell my brand new in a box iPod, I advertised it on a very popular social media app called SHPOCK and in a few days someone offered to buy the IPod for £400, I was happy because now I could help my dad through this.  A young man came to our door, picked up the IPod and gave me £400 in 20 notes, you know I kind of noticed straight away that something did not feel right but I told myself it’s all good, so I gave him the IPod and said bye.

Then I turned to my dad and said, “something isn’t right,” we started to inspect the bills only to realise that, they were all counterfeit, I was so angry, shattered and devastated that my plan to help my dad had fell apart, not knowing what to do now, I punched hole in the door in frustration, feeling defeated.

We reported this to the police; nothing has come from this they haven’t even bothered to pick up the fake money for investigation.

My dad’s is an inspiration not just for my brothers, sister and myself but for many children wherever he has lived and worked. He has worked with Winston Carrington on the “Hands the across the Ocean project”, He made commitments to supply schools in deprived communities in Jamaica with iPods, laptops, pencils, pens, books etc….I would love to also help him fulfil those dreams and promises.

My dad has a song that says: “When there is war, sow the seeds of peace

When there is hate sow the seeds of love

When there is captivity sow the seeds of freedom

When there is despair sow the seeds of hope”

Go fund my dad’s fight against cancer and to visit his dying mother in Jamaica and to fulfil his dreams and promises. Help me to sow some seeds of “hope.” Thank you and God Bles
