I want to start by saying that I don’t have a perfect life, but I AM BLESSED. I have a pretty good life and a great support system of family and friends. When I see someone who is struggling, I try to help.
I have a friend who had her car totaled last week by a deer. It was not a new car, and we’re not looking to get her a new one, just a suitable replacement. That is a generic photo, BTW.
Have you ever seen what a deer can do to a car? Sure you have. At the very least, it’s a major inconvenience. Cars can be totaled. People can be hurt or killed. Luckily, she was NOT hurt.
This is still a pretty big catastrophe for her, because she can no longer get to work or take herself and her dependent parent to doctors appointments. As it is, they are just squeaking by on her half-time job and disability payments. She doesn’t have a great support system, like I do and I hope you do. Her job is at immediate risk. SHE NEEDS A CAR. I want to help her get one. She’s actually staying pretty upbeat, all things considered. Which makes me want to help her even more.
If you can give ANYTHING, even just a few bucks, maybe we can collect enough to get her another inexpensive used car. My car guy is looking for one and is willing to help me transport it (she’s 1000 miles from me). If you know someone who would like to give away a good used car, even better! Just drop me a line. All money raised will be put toward a car, tax and title, and transportation if it’s required.
