Help Milla shine bright once again

Milla Raissa Machado is 19 years old, she left her hometown to try to conquer her dreams of becoming a successful model while providing for her family in Brazil. She was found having seizures in her Philippine apartment and was rushed to the nearest hospital, Saturday afternoon, November 17,2018. 


In the hospital, the doctors ran many tests. After hours they found an infection in the back of her head that led the doctors to think it was an infection caused by a bacteria or a virus. So they had to collect a sample of her spinal fluid. The parents had to give their consent because that could’ve possibly leave her paralyzed. The spinal tap results showed she has bacterial meningitis that has unfortunately reached her brain. 


Currently, she is still unconscious and her condition is very delicate. The bacteria is also already in her blood stream. The hospital she is in right now doesn’t have the means to take care of her and they strongly advised that she is transferred to a better equipped hospital. The better equipped hospital willing to accept her is very expensive and the accounting department already advised her daily expenses might run between P60,000 Philippine pesos to 150,000 Philippine peso ($1100 - $ 2800) a day. 


The doctors informed us that she might have to stay 30-40 days if she survives the critical stage of the disease which is what she is facing right now.  We need as much help as possible to give Milla (IG: MILLAA.RM ) a fighting chance. Once her condition is stable we can move her to a public hospital because as of now most of them have declined assistance due to the fact that the disease is very contagious. 


We are reaching out to all of you to ask for anything you can give. There’s no amount too little, any amount is very appreciated and we know God will come through in your lives and will give you much more because of your kindness. 


Her family is trying to dispose of the little they have to save Milla and also to fly her father to the Philippines ASAP! Her friends are also doing their best. We are desperately counting on your help.
