Help Merlin get Healthy

Donation protected
Merlin has been a part of our family for 5 years now and we've had him since he was a kitten.  Last week he wasn't eating and had diarrhea, so we took him in to the vet.  After x-rays they simply thought he swallowed something he wasn't supposed to but sent us to get an ultrasound.  The ultrasound was worse than we expected - it showed something called triaditis, which is inflammation in the liver, pancreas, and stomach.  It also showed a separate condition causing inflammation in the large intenstine.

The goal was to get the triaditis under control by putting Merlin into 24/7 vet care.  They would IV fluids and antibiotics as well as get him to eat again.  We checked him in on Christmas Eve (December 24th).

As of this morning (December 27th), Merlin still will not eat.  They are worried something else is going on and want to do a feeding tube and a colonoscopy to see if there's cancer and potential start him on chemo.

Merlin is the sweetest, cuddliest cat.  He's literally never done anything naughty except pee or poop where he's not supposed to, and that's only when he's been sick.  He comes and sleeps next to me in bed every single night.  He is family, and he is only 5 years old.  We already lost another cat way too early - we adopted Merlin 5 years ago with another cat named Luna, who passed away at only around 8 months.  It is hard going through this again so soon.

I will do literally anything to help Merlin.  I never thought I'd be one of those people making a gofundme for my pet but if it helps him I'll do it.  We've gone into our savings already and I'll use all of it if I have to.  I'll cancel all of my vacations.  I'll take out a loan.  But if anyone else is willing to help even a little bit, it would be a huge relief to us.  It's hard enough worrying about our baby, but worrying about the money too is even worse.  So far here are the approximate expenses we've encountered, and of course they keep building:

$800 - xrays, ultrasound, and antibiotics
around $3,000 so far for 24/7 overnight care (at this point 72 hours)
$3,000 - colonoscopy (haven't decided yet if we're going to do this but if they think it's best we will)
$1,000 - feeding tube to get food in him
+whatever else will be coming

Please do not call the vet directly.  If you do not feel comfortable sending through GoFundMe contact me and we can arrange something.  The vet doesn't want to deal with extra phone calls.  Thanks.
