As a commission artist, I live on my ability to produce quality art over a wide variety of topics and styles. For now, it's a modest living, but I have high hopes of getting somewhere good with it. I have ambitions to create a running comic series, break into 3D modeling/rigging, and explore every venue of growth in my craft available. There's a bit of a hitch, however, and that's where you come in.
My computer is on its last legs, and its outdated hardware is having difficulty keeping up with most programs I would need to really get anywhere. And, having just moved halfway across the country, my money is quite drained. With my bills having gone up, I'm not sure I'll be able to set aside enough money to buy a new computer before this one finally bites the dust. If that happens, I will be unable to perform commission work or practice my art in any way. I will lose my business as a commission artist, effectively dashing any hopes I have of taking my talents and art degree to bigger and better pastures.
Things I Need to be Able to Do
- Run Photoshop without cursor lag
- Develop and rig 3D models with high graphical settings
- Create 3D animation and operate programs to do so smoothly
So, I ask you, on the humblest of grounds, to help me keep drawing. The only way I can realize my dreams is by continuing to draw.
