Help me acquire my dad's medication
Hello everyone! My name is Joshua Nickerson, I'm a 23 year-old man who currently lives with my father in a quiet suburb of Park Forest, Illinois.
My father, Gene Nickerson, has been a beacon of hope and someone to look up to in the hardest times in my life, and at the moment, he has currently fallen ill, being diagnosed with an abnormally high blood pressure and possible lung and heart problems.
In 2014, my mother passed from medcial complications as well, and we've been struggling to make ends meet as the area we live in is less than opportune (many businesses are closed/defunct). Through the kindness of others and by sticking together through thick and thin, my father and I were able to successfully live for a year and a half without many complications, until recently.
While he was performing daily activities, my father suffered a prolonged nosebleed that lasted an approximate four plus hours, leaving him light headed and with blurry vision. The Doctor's eventually diagnosed him with heart/lung problems, and an abnormally high heart rate/blood pressure count.
He was prescribed costly drugs, so costly that we cannot afford them amongst our basic needs (food, water, warmth), and I don't want to see my father grow and worse because I cannot afford them.
So in this attepmt, I'm reaching out to gofundme in an attempt to see if anyone could be so kind as to donate money towards my father's medication. Currently, the prescription is approximately $100 for a one month fill.
While he has them right now, we cannot afford to make another payment, and I am worried that his general being will deteriorate if left unattended.
The funds that are supplied in this campaign of mine will be used to provide the medication that my father needs in order to remain stable. By providing these funds, I will be able to afford the medication he needs, allowing him to heal and stabilize throughout the following months.
I would be eternally grateful if you could anyone could donate any sum, as I will attempt to use any funds that are generated from this campaign to provide for my father. He means a lot to me, and this is my best effort to show for all the effort he's put towards me in these last few years.
