Help Majd Tahhouf's family

Thank you everyone for your donations to the deceased Syrian refugee Majd's Tahhouf's family. A trust fund has been created for the family and all the money have been transferred to the trust fund. We are hoping this will provide some temporary relief for the family as well as provide educational funds for the two children's future. Thank you again to everyone that came to help out the two orphans and this widow!

Majd Tahhouf arrived in Canada as a Syrian refugee with his wife and 2 little children in March 2015. He fought cancer for 6 years and on January 7, 2017 he passed away in Calgary leaving his family in dire financial distress. We request everyone to ensure this family's long term future is secured. This family escaped the horrors of war to experience years of fighting a very hard battle with cancer to finally loosing Majd. Majd was only 29 years old and his son is 4 and daughter is 2. We ask for your prayers and support in anyway you can.

Campaign organizers: Saima Jamal and Sam Nammoura (co-founders) Syrian Refugee Support Group Calgary . We have been helping this family since September 2015 in whatever capacity we could as a community. We are very close friends of the family and their emergency medical contact. These funds will be spent to take care of their debts, to ensure the family does not live under the poverty line and is able to pay rent, buy food, pay for transportation, daycare and other miscellaneous living expenses.  We are planning to disperse the funds through a specified account for the family.
