Help Lynne Get LASIK

I have been wearing glasses for my nearsightedness since I was in 4th grade. At that time, my vision was about 20/40. Now it’s 20/whatever. I cannot read the big E at the top of the eye chart, therefore I’m considered legally blind. I cannot operate in the world without glasses or contacts, but my prescription is not exact in either option. I'm so tired of strained eyes, headaches, and having my peripheral vision cut off. I can only wear contacts for about 4 hours at a time before they get red and scratchy.

These don't even fully show everything, I usually experience a halo type of glare around most objects.



The blend of nearsightedness and astigmatism I have means my contacts prescription is about $400/year, which is why for the last several years, I’ve almost exclusively worn glasses. My glasses prescription is about 4 years old at this point because they cost $300 to replace. My health insurance does not include anything for vision. It would be a complete miracle to be able to see properly for the first time in over 20 years without the assistance of glasses or contacts.

I went to a LASIK center for a consultation about two years ago. They gave me an estimate of $4000-4500 to have both eyes done. I would love to sign up for CareCredit, but I am not likely to be approved. Students loans + business debt = less than great credit. If you can help me out, even a little bit, it could completely revolutionize my life.
