They say everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer.  It could be your friend's Aunt, your Great Grandmother, or maybe someone even closer. We know someone; it's our mother.
We recently found out our mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is type HER-2 and there are numerous lumps. The treatment recommended is chemotherapy and radiation. On top of that she will need to get a double mastectomy.
None of this will be easy, and insurance does pay for a percentage, but not all. No one likes to ask for help, especially in the form of money, but realistically, cancer isn't cheap.
We are asking for help for her treatment and to help cover the wages lost that she will surely endure from missing work.
Cancer is a bitch, but trying to keep up with the bills on top of it makes it a savage bitch. Any help anyone can give, no matter the amount,  would be such a relief and greatly appreciated. We want her focused on her health, not her bills.

Save the boobies.

PS - F*ck cancer.

She officially finished her final round of high dose chemo and just had her first round of low dose chemo treatment which will continue for one year. We are still trying to reach our goal so please share and remember that every bit helps! Thanks everyone! #happyinternationalwomansday #notjustsurvivingbutthriving

From the desk of Lynn! Update: Today is the last high dose chemo treatment before I switch to a year of low dose maintenance treatments. Excited to see this first phase completed. Monday I will sign surgical consent for my reconstruction in middle of March. Hopefully back to work by May 1st. Squeezing in a road trip to Maryland next week. Can't wait to see the family and recharge my batteries.

Mom, the family and I wanted to share another update with everyone who has been keeping tabs and praying for this treatment/recovery process. Today marked her 3rd major chemo treatment leaving 3 more to go. Once these are completed she will need to continue a milder chemo treatment for another year after. She currently is awaiting word on possibly replacing her right expander because it has started leaking fluid and will no longer do it's job. This will delay her reconstruction and delay her recovery which will ultimately delay her return to work. This is causing unwanted and unneeded stress because her allotted time off won't last forever. If you feel moved to continue support financially it is most definitely appreciated and if you feel moved to share this with everyone you know, that is also greatly appreciated. Let's make this thing go viral!
