(06/09/18) Roughly around 12pm, Luul Gure died in a tragic car accident in south Burlington, Vermont . Luul Gure was a Somali mother. She has left 7 children behind. You cannot imagine the pain that her family is going through right now. We want to ease any financial burden that come after losing someone quickly.  This will help her 7 children that she left behind the most.

Who are we?
We are a group of Somali volunteers from the Islamic Community Center  in Winooski, VT also known as the Somali Mosque.

What is our connection to the deceased?
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”
We are fellow believers, and originally from Somalia. Being immigrants ourselves, we understand the trials of trying to make a living in a foreign country. To be additionally afflicted by death is especially hard on the family. We are trying our best to help the family, for the sake of Allah, and out of compassion for our fellow countrymen.

How will the funds be spent?
The deceased left behind 7 children and a husband. The youngest child is one year old, and the next youngest is nearly 3. None of them is a teen yet. They will need child care, which is expensive. Meanwhile, the father cannot work since he needs to stay home taking care of the children. Our funds will be used to support the family directly, with every penny being donated to the family.

Plans for withdrawal?
Our GoFundMe page directly links to the bank account of the husband of the deceased so that he can withdraw the money directly when the campaign is complete.
